When I arrive in La Carihuela, I start my food shopping at Dia or Carrefour in Calle Bulto. I also love Tom Tom next to Bar America which has everything under the sun at very cheap prices. If I want even more choices, I go the Mercadona in the centre of Torremolinos (near McDonalds) or I walk to the Carrefour on top of the hill opposite La Carihuela. It is only a 15-minute walk. Go to Plaza del Remo and from there walk up the hill, past the Montemar Alto train station. You find the Carrefour on the other side of the dual carriageway.

The best baker’s of the area is of course La Tahona in Calle Bulto.

The Chinese shop next to the taxi rank in Plaza del Remo has a bit of everything.

For a more general shopping trip, I start at Plaza del Remo and then walk on the Paseo de Maritimo next to the beach to Torremolinos and go up the steps to the centre. You will find many clothes, shoe, bag, gift and tourist shops.

Wanneer ik aankom in La Carihuela, begin ik mijn boodschappen bij Dia of Carrefour in Calle Bulto. Ik ga ook graag naar Tom Tom naast Bar America waar ze alles onder de zon hebben aan goedkope prijzen. Als ik nog meer afwisseling wil, ga ik naar de Mercadona in het centrum van Torremolinos (bij McDonalds) of wandel ik naar de Carrefour bovenop de heuvel tegenover La Carihuela. Het duurt maar 15 minuutjes en je bent er. Ga naar Plaza del Remo en wandel vanaf daar de heuvel op, langs het treinstation van Montemar Alto. Je vindt de Carrefour aan de andere kant van de grote baan.

De beste bakker van de omgeving is natuurlijk La Tahona in Calle Bulto.

De Chinese winkel naast de taxistandplaats op Plaza del Remo heeft vanalles en nog wat.

Voor een meer algemene winkeluitstap begin ik op Plaza del Remo en wandel dan via de Paseo de Maritimo naast het strand naar Torremolinos en ga de trappen op naar het centrum. Je vindt er veel kleding-, schoenen-, tassen-, cadeau- en toeristenwinkels.
